Registration and Welcome Function
Catch up with old and new friends while you register for the Championships at the Merino Room of the When: Tuesday 18 April, Registration starts at 12.00 midday with an official welcome at 5.00pm. You will be able to purchase food and drinks while you chat with your friends in a relaxed environment. Local swimmers will be on hand to answer any ‘Tasmania’ questions you may have. A representative of the Tasmanian Travel Centre will also be present to help you with everything from accommodation, tours, transportation and attraction tickets all around the State, so that you can make the best of your time in Tasmania. A link to the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre is also available under the Discover Tasmania section of the National Swim website. Parking is limited around the Hotel so you may wish to park at the pool or at the Regatta grounds and walk down. We understand that those swimming the 800m will probably swim this event prior to registration and we encourage those swimmers to drop in and register at the Woolstore after their swim.

Looking for something to do in the evenings? Join your teammates and new friends for an evening drink after swimming finishes on Thursday evening at the Hobart Brewing Company.
Located at 16 Evans St the Hobart Brewing Company is a rustic indoor/outdoor venue specialising in award winning craft beers; with cider, wines and soft drinks also available. The venue is within walking distance of the pool. A number of food vans are located on site, or, if you would like something more substantial to eat, any number of waterfront restaurants are located close by. No need to worry if the weather is a little inclement as there is plenty of undercover space available and woodfires will be lit to keep you warm. The venue is open from 3.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday evenings so we are suggesting meeting around 5.30pm.
