Dolphins Upgrade their Water Safety Skills

With so many of our swimmers taking to the ocean in small groups these days we decided that it is important we have the knowledge to look after each other in times of trouble.

We contacted the RLSS Tasmania who agreed to offer a Bronze Medallion Course specifically for our members.  It was held over a six week period at Clarence pool, following our Saturday morning training session.  Twelve members completed the course, lots of new skills were learnt and quite a bit of fun had, all agreed it was well worth the effort.

Thank you to the Branch who, in recognition of the importance of water safety, provided a $500 grant through the Club Development Program to help with the cost of the course.
