2026 MST Short Course Long Distance Championships
October 17 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm AEDT
With entries well below expectations, the MST State Committee has decided to cancel the SCLD Championship in its current format.
But we don’t want low numbers to stop swimmers chasing those PBs and records! 
We’re proposing to reformat the event as an Interclub Meet at Southern Beaches Swim Centre, Dodges Ferry, on Saturday 17 October. This means:
A more manageable event for our volunteers No financial risk of proceeding with the Championship at LAC Still an opportunity to achieve State and National records and Top Ten times under MSA rules!We’re also hoping to arrange a similar opportunity for northern swimmers at a later date. Launceston swimmers are of course very welcome to join us at Dodges Ferry.
Proposed time: 3.30–5.30 pm, with the possibility of accepting additional entries.Keen to swim? Please email mastersswimmingtasmania@gmail.com as soon as possible to let us know your intentions.

The 31st Masters Swimming Tasmania, Short Course Long Distance Championships will be conducted at the Southern Beaches Swim Centre on the afternoon of Saturday 17 October.
