2025 LCLD Champs Report

MST 30th Long Course Long Distance Championships,
Hobart Aquatic Centre,   1 November 2025.

Interim Report

30 swimmers registered for the meet – including Cheree Dodkins from Barbarians .
Our thanks should be extended to
.    Steve Richards – the Meet Director
.   Ray Brien – the Meet Referee and his team of Technical Officials
.   Pauline Samson – the Recorder
.   Neville Snook and Ray Brien as Starters
.   The many other volunteers including the Time Keepers

In order rein in significant costs, Timing pads were not used. This required 2 timers per lane.  It was gratifying to see that volunteers were always available without prompting. To keep things rolling in a time efficient manner, rolling starts were occasionally used.  This was a new experience for several swimmers

Wendy Winzenburg	Women 75-79	.  400m  Freestyle . 800m  Freestyle . 1500m Freestyle
James Belstead	Men 25-29	.  400m Backstroke .  400m Breaststroke
Phil Venables	Men 60-64	.  800m Backstroke
Glenn Bryan	Men 65-69	.  400m Breaststroke
