2026 MST AGM Report
The 2026 AGM for MST was held on 11 March via Zoom.
MST is now the unenviable of having no President.
All other positions were filled.
Our past president Megan Stronach has stood down after the maximum term allowable in that position. Some of the achievements during her tenure are:-
- introducing dual sanctioned meets with Swim Tasmania and creating closer ties with that body.
- getting MST involvement with Tasmanian Ocean Swim Series in the form of the Oceans Treble events.
- setting up the Oatlands Splash Events
Megan continues as Coaching
Our past Secretary Pauline Samson has also stood down after the maximum term in that position. Pauline continues in the role of State Recorder
We must pass thanks to Megan and Pauline for their tireless effort in the past few years.
New faces in the Executive are:-
- Lorna Barrett Secretary
- Steve Richards Technical Coordinator
- Lou Hill Safety Coordinator
Gabrielle Osborne, Diane Gregory and Mendelt Tillema continue in the roles of Treasurer, Registrar and Communications respectively.
The call is out for all clubs to consider a candidate for the State president
