Technical Officer Training and Splash Meet
February 20 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm AEDT
Masters Swimming Tasmania is in need of more technical officials to help run swim meets.
Without officials these meets can’t go ahead and many hands make light work. You can be both a swimmer and an official, even if it is just for a few events. MST is hosting Nationals in April 2023 and we will need a lot of officials to make that meet happen.
In light of this, the Devils are organizing a technical training afternoon where Ray Brien from MST will run through approximately 90mins of training. All swimmers are welcome to attend as we will be covering rules and procedures for competition. If you are nervous about attending competitions because you are unsure of what you need to do, this training is for you! We will also be covering time keeping, marshalling and strokes/turns. All clubs and swimmers are welcome to attend.
After this training we will be running a splash meet so that we can practice what we have just learnt in training. This meet will be a time trial with stopwatch timing and unofficial results.
Swimmers , please click on and complete the entry form below to compete. If you are attending just for the TO training, there is no need for you to do the entry form nor to pay the fee. But leave advise Lucy anyway that you wish to attend the training.
