Technical Officer Training

June 4 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm AEST

Launceston Aquatic
Saturday June 4
Prior to SCLD Meet

Masters Swimming Tasmania will be conducting a training session for prospective Technical Officials at the Meeting Room, Launceston Aquatic – upstairs near the Gym.  Roll up from 10:30 am so we can be started by 11am start.  We will be finished at 1 pm so you can compete at the SCLD.

Any member interested is invited to attend – at this session I will be covering the roles and responsibilities of Inspectors of Turns (IOT), Judges of Stroke (JOS) and Starter. Prior training as a Timekeeper is desirable but not essential.

Please forward an expression of interest by email to me at rayonray64@icloud.com no later than 25 May.  I will forward some prereading to help you get started.

Being an official does not mean you can’t compete in competitions – a larger cohort of Officials allows us to spread the load and allow some of our long-term officials to get to compete.  So come along, learn some new skills and help the organisation better prepare for the Nationals in Hobart Next year.
