Swim for Bryn – Mega Swim

March 13 @ 6:00 am - 6:00 pm AEDT

Devonport Devils Masters Swimming Club have organized a 12-hour mega-swim E1000 Endurance relay starting at 6am on Sunday 13th March at Splash Aquatic and Leisure Centre Devonport. The purpose is to help fund research and provide much needed care, equipment and services to support people and their families living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Tasmania.

In 2020 Dr Brynley Parry was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and faced a challenge that changed his career and his family’s life forever. MND also took away some things he loved, but in 2021 he joined the Devonport Devils Masters Swimming Club which is helping him continue exercising for as long as he can. Bryn has shown himself to be a determined club swimmer and the Devils will honour their swimming buddy with a show of their determination to swim for 12 hours in order to support MND patients and research.
